Anyone ever had a patio door explode for no apparent reason? Mine did last evening and I'm trying to figure out why.

I was in the kitchen and there was a very loud but brief BANG. I thought it was a firework or something, but when I went back to the living room the glass on the stationary side of the patio door was crazed from top to bottom. ( Read more... )

According to Time & Date.com, today is Work Naked Day. For those who don't work from home, some research into your employer's mental health leave policies would be prudent.

December 21 is International Dalek Remembrance Day, commerating the date in 1963 when "The Doctor’s most recognizable (and somehow beloved) villains and heartless killing machines first appeared on-screen."  One suggestion for celebrating the day is to decorate your Christmas Tree as a Dalek.
